In Lite cables

The In Lite cable system is the backbone of your garden lighting. All fixtures connect to the same low-voltage cable via the EASY-LOCK system. In Lite offers two types of main cable, extension cables in three lengths, and cable connectors for splitting and extending your installation.

CBL-14/2 - the standard main cable

The CBL-14/2 is In Lite's most commonly used main cable. It is a 12V two-wire cable of type 14 AWG with a maximum linear cable length of 40 meters. Suitable for most private garden installations. Supplied as a bundle complete with CABLE CAPS for neatly sealing cable ends.

CBL-10/2 - for larger installations

The CBL-10/2 is a heavier cable of type 10 AWG (2 x 5.26 mm²) with a maximum linear cable length of 80 meters. Due to the thicker conductor diameter, voltage drop over longer distances is minimal. The right choice for large gardens, long driveways or installations with many fixtures on one cable outlet.

Extension cables CBL-EXT

Extension cables bridge the distance between a fixture and the main cable. Available in 1, 2, and 3 meters. The maximum combined extension cable length per fixture is 4 meters. Please note: the MOVE EXT-cord extension cable (5 meters) is exclusively intended for extending the MOVE motion sensor and is not suitable for connecting fixtures.

Cable connector CC-2 and CABLE CAP

You use the CC-2 cable connector to make branches in the main cable, which is useful when you want to add an extra fixture in a location far from an EASY-LOCK point. The CABLE CAP STANDARD is a cover cap for neatly sealing the free end of the cable after the last fixture.

What is the difference between the In Lite CBL-14/2 and CBL-10/2 cable?

The difference lies in the cable thickness and maximum length. The CBL-14/2 (14 AWG) has a maximum length of 40 meters and is suitable for most residential gardens. The CBL-10/2 (10 AWG) is thicker, has less voltage drop and can be laid linearly for up to 80 meters, making it the choice for large installations.

How deep should I bury the In Lite cable?

The In Lite low voltage cable works on 12V and does not need to be buried deep. You can lay the cable under a layer of mulch, gravel or a few centimetres of soil. For a neater finish or protection against digging, you can lay the cable in a cable duct or conduit.

What is the maximum length for the extension cable CBL-EXT?

The combined extension cable length between a fixture and the main cable may not exceed 4 metres. Extension cables are available in 1, 2, and 3 metres and can be combined, as long as the total length does not exceed 4 metres.

How do I connect a second light fixture to one EASY-LOCK point?

Use the In Lite SPLITTER. This accessory allows you to connect multiple fixtures to a single EASY-LOCK point, up to a maximum combined wattage of 10W. A single SPLITTER provides two connections; the SPLITTER TRIPLE offers three connections.
